So we’re inviting you to join us on the weekend of Friday, Saturday and Sunday 6th, 7th and 8th December 2019 for the Belvoir ‘Christmas Treats’ Food and Drinks Festival to sample both local produce and the best seasonal food the world’s food and drinks producers can offer.
Order prime provisions from our carefully chosen Christmas suppliers to stock your larder with traditional treats from local producers as well as sellers offering tasty rare and unusual world foods. Make a day of it by dining on your pick of dishes available from Britain, Europe and beyond available in our World Street-Food Court. And choose from an astonishing selection of fine food on offer.
The event takes place in large marquees where professional chefs will be on hand at this event to provide recipe ideas, food demonstrations and tips and techniques. Alongside the demonstrations our carefully chosen artisan stallholders offer try-before-you-buy tastings of the succulent meats, game and charcuterie. We have sellers offering the finest cheeses while our bakers and pastry chefs showcase perfect patisserie, cakes and puddings, all available to take home for the coming party season or to get delivered fresh on the day of your choice just ready for the Christmas and New Year Festivities or as hampers or a special treat for delivery to a friend or relative.
Christmas and seasonal food is for everyone so an extensive range of vegetarian and vegan options are available.
Our fully licensed drinks sections offers tutored tastings has artisan Beers, Wines and Spirits rarely available elsewhere with a special focus on small vineyards and small batch spirit producers of gins, vodkas and whiskies, plus delicious mixers and fruit drinks to accompany or serve on their own.
And we have a number of stallholders selling and exceptional range of quality cookware, kitchen equipment, napery and table decorations to enable everything to be presented at its best.
Whether you live locally or are travelling to the area for the weekend the Belvoir Castle ‘Christmas Treats’ Festive Food and Drinks Fair is the perfect escape from the High Street and an ideal pre-Christmas day out.

Day Visit or Stayover?
Surrounded by beautiful villages, within easy reach of all the region’s capitals including Derby, Leicester, Lincoln, Nottingham and Sheffield, convenient for the A1 and Stamford and only a little over an hour by train from London, the Belvoir Castle ‘Christmas Treats’ Festive Food and Drinks Fair brings a “London-quality” event to Belvoir, a world-renowned landmark location at the tripoint of the counties of Leicestershire, Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire.
The event is already supported by a massive network of charitable and sporting goodwill and is expected to become the highlight in the regional social calendar and also makes it a focus go-to destination for affluent weekenders to seeking to place it at the heart of a short “stayover” vacation at one the many quality inns located close to Belvoir in the beautiful English countryside.
The Castle and Hosts
Belvoir Castle is a gloriously romantic Gothic Revival style stately home sited on the 16,000 beautiful  Belvoir Estate which has been the home of the Manners family for five hundred years and seat of the Dukes of Rutland for over three centuries.
The Castle stands proudly on an elevated site which makes it highly visible and a nationally renowned destination for events and filming. Belvoir is popular with visitors and contains many works of art, the highlights being the lavish staterooms, including the stunning ‘Elizabeth Saloon’ (named after the wife of the 5th Duke), the Regents Gallery and the Roman-inspired State Dining Room.
Event Location
The event is hosted close to the main entrance to the castle on a specially designed event-site with excellent modern facilities, full disability access and ample adjacent customer free parking. Please note that while well-behaved dogs on leads are welcome on the event site and outdoor eating areas, with the exception of guide dogs they are not admitted to the marquees.
The fair site is well connected to major roads with rail links at Grantham (London 1h. 11) and Melton Mowbray (Birmingham 1h. 10). Bus services operate hourly to the Castle Gates from Grantham (journey time 21 mins). The estate-owned 10-unit Engine Yard Retail Village (est. 2018) is located adjacent to the event opened and has developed a reputation across the region as a destination for quality food and boutique shopping.
